We stayed 7 nights, longer than average stay (winter/high season: January 2025) River Tree’s location is ideal. It’s very quiet, has a large parking, and you only need to walk a couple of hundred meters on the main road to access a side lane to the town (also easy tuktuk ride à 30-40THB/p) There is a large well-maintained garden and views on the misty Mekong. Our Superior King room was very large with sitting area & balcony over the pool. The walls are not totally sound proof, which may not be an issue as mostly the evening activity stops early (around 10pm) in this parts of the world, but if out of luck, one may get a noisier neighbour. The bed was good. There was hanging space (I was provided with extra hangers upon request), some shelves for clothing, and a desk. The resort is spotless. The pool is quite large, sufficient for doing laps and very clean. It’s mostly in the sun but obviously quite chilly in winter time. There are a handful of sunbeds, but we always had them all to ourselves (many people come and go through this destination). The buffet breakfast is quite large, mainly offering Asian (meaty) option. However, upon request, the kitchen can make vegetarian or vegan dishes and we were served every morning a generous and delicious vegetarian breakfast. Note that it is also the ONLY place in town where you can be served tofu-based dishes (I strongly suggest contacting the resort in advance to make sure they will have some). This also applies to the restaurant for lunch/dinner. Wifi was rather weak and we used a mix of Wifi and local SIM. The quality of the service was excellent. Front desk manager, Mr Yuan K., speaks English very well, and did everything to ensure our stay would be memorable (in a good way!). His team is prompt to assist, we appreciated their service attitude and kindness. It is definitely worth spending a few nights in this lovely area, as there is plenty to do. Value for money: very good.

Serene location near Chiang Khan. The town was the tourist hot spot a decade ago but it has died down since. The hotel is tucked next to the main road about 15 mins walk away from the walking street. Good room and good breakfast. There's a PEA DC charger in front, a main reason I choose this hotel. Very attentive staff as they always offering help for many things. The place is also very clean and quiet even though it is next to the road but there was basically no traffic at night. I have a few complaints though, first there's only 2 bottles of water offered in the room - we didn't ask for more but it should be at least 4 for this kind of resort where you are expecting to spend more time in the hotel. Seondly I see only 1 small lift for the whole building and from the fire exit diagram seems to comfirm this which create congestion and waiting during peak hours.

The location is very nice at the Mekong, not so far from the start of the night market street. This is a long street ! The hotel desk can call a Tuktuk there when you prefer not to walk. The view (Deluxe room) is great. Good swimming pool with nice view, also very good part for children 2-8 years. Desk staff nice and helpful. Parking space options on the premises. King bed is excellent. Nice spacious balcony (Mekong view) with chairs. Free Wifi is fine. Room door-lock very good quality, but no safe box inside the room. Yes, we would like to come back some time, but also see some critical details below.

The garden and greenery... all these gives relaxing ambience. Morning birds chirping & cooler weather is so refreshing. The pond & garden outside our bungalows Reminded us of 5 star villa ambience. There is small Shop on reception but no drink/ snack shop on the river side. you are allowed to sit there during the day after breakfast though. Owner can consider providing a self service coffee/ tea/ juice/ snack n fruit bar Facility on river side so we can enjoy more on the relaxing riverside :)

The location is great and peaceful. The hotel well designed and looks like a brand new. It’s clean and the room was really good. I liked the view and bathroom. Breakfast can be improved. There was a small breakfast buffet but I think it was not busy day then the management just offered a small breakfast buffet. The Employees were respectful and friendly but they can be more proactive and check the tables for set up and guests’ needs.
